Lush Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask

The first thing I noticed about this mask is that the ingredients are so fresh and natural, the product needs to be refrigerated! It comes in a 2.5 ounce tub so it doesn't take up too much space in the fridge. I got this particular face mask because it has fresh organic lime juice, honey, and freshly ground almonds and almond oil in it. Other fresh ingredients include sage, free range eggs, fresh ginger roots, fresh parsley, and ginger oil just to name a few! The smell is wonderful and it feels so fresh and clean on my face. The almond grounds exfoliate the dead skin cells while the honey soothes and acts as a natural antibacterial. The ginger root extract helps calm angry skin and the Kaolin pulls out dirt and impurities leaving the skin soft and glowing. When I removed the face mask from my skin, I immediately noticed that my skin was softer and brighter! It also helped remove some black heads I had, which was nice! I definitely recommend ALL Lush products because they are 100% natural, hand made, and most importantly (for me) animal cruelty free!

Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Body Lotion

I LOVE this lotion! Its thick and creamy and extremely luminous. It provides the perfect pearly sheen on your skin and the smell is delicious! I feel like Im on a tropical island sipping fruity drinks on a hot summer day. This would be the perfect pearly glow for a bride on her big day.

Pacifica Blood Orange Perfume

I smell like a fresh squeezed summer orange :D I love this smell. I used to rub orange rinds on my wrists to smell like the orange oil but this is less sticky! It captures the smell of a blood orange perfectly and it reminds me of warm summer days in spent in Italy.

Proactiv Dark Spot Corrector

I have been using this corrector for seven days now and I really like it. It says it could take up to three months to see a difference but I am seeing one after only seven days! I see a noticeable difference in the appearance of my post acne scars and marks, they look lighter and theres not as much. The only downfall I find in this corrector is the smell. It smells like chemicals but hey, thats what it is!

Makeup Forever HD Primer in (0) Neutral

I bought this primer in high hopes that I would love it since MUFE has such wonderful products. When I first used it the first thing I noticed was the smell. It has such a pungent perfume smell, it honestly smelled like a light perfume going on my skin. Its not like a gel primer, more like a lotion. It absorbs into the skin rather than sitting on top. Within only a few hours of wearing it, my skin started breaking out in a horrible reaction. Because of the fragrance, it did not go well with my sensitive skin. I had to return the product because of how it make my skin look and feel. I do not recommend this primer if you are acne prone or have sensitivities to fragrance.

Proactiv Clear Purifying Mask

Love this mask. Its 6% FDA approved sulfur which is a natural antibiotic when used on the skin. I really like this product as a spot treatment versus a mask. Its clear so if you have a bad breakout you can wear it under your makeup for that extra fighting power! As a mask it dries really fast and absorbs into the skin like a lotion, so for me it doesn't feel like it's doing anything. I like my masks in the form of clay or mud because I can actually feel it right then and there doing its job. Not to say it doesn't work as a mask, I just don't like it! I put this on a pimple a couple days ago and the next day it was completely dried out! One of the best spot treatments I've used to date.
This product retails for around $20.

Laura Mercier Eye Basics Lid Primer

I got this product in my 500 point perk at Sephora. I love love love it! I'm always trying to find new and great eye primers and this one takes the cake. I love the way it feels and how it goes on my lid. Its very smooth, not too thick or watery, and a little bit goes a LONG way! If you like Urban Decay's Primer Potion, I think you will love this primer! If I had to choose between UD's and Laura Mercier, I would choose Laura Mercier's. Not only does it go on nicely, but it really makes my shadow stick and POP. The color looks true and bright and theres no need to pack it on because the primer really does its job in making the shadow color stick out. Two thumbs up!

This product retails for around $24.

Proactiv

I started using Proactiv in October of 2011 because I get stress breakouts. I am constantly stressed out, whether it be over the smallest thing like not being able to find my Mickey Mouse lantern (true story) to something bigger like my cat being ill. When I am extremely stressed out, my immune system lowers causing my body to not be able to fight certain bacterias, including the bacteria which can cause blemishes. Truth be told, I got tired of spending $30-$100 every five weeks on my skin care regime so I decided to give Proactiv a try. For the items you get in your skin care routine, the price is so incredibly affordable! I went from spending $30-$100 every five weeks to only $50 every twelve weeks! Now for the product review. At first, this product made me break out HORRIBLY. I was so upset because I broke out in spots I have never had a pimple before and they weren't tiny pimples, they were painful ones! I called Proactiv up and spoke to one of their on call dermatologists. She informed me that because of the Benzoyl peroxide in the product, it causes all the gross bacteria and dirt to be pulled from the very pits of your pores to the surface causing initial breakouts. She told me it was totally normal, that it would eventually go away because once all the dirt and oil was pulled to the surface my skin would finally start to clear. Well she was definitely right! It took a while but my skin finally started to clear. It did more than clear though, my pores look smaller, my skin looks smoother, and when I have foundation on to cover my post acne scarring it looks like my skin is airbrushed. I still get the occasional pimple (like right now) but over all my skin feels and looks much better. I will probably use this product the rest of my life as long as it keeps on working! For anyone just starting to use this product, do not feel discouraged when your skin breaks out! It will get worse before it gets better, trust me!

Clinique Even Better Foundation

This is my go-to-every-day foundation. It is oil free, fragrance free, and SPF 15. What more could you ask for in a great foundation? It also has AMAZING coverage! It covers my post acne scars and I don't even need to use a lot of it. One bottle gets me through 4 months! It goes on smoothly and does not cake or oxidize. Definitely recommend this foundation, especially for anyone with scars or sensitive skin.
This product retails for $24.50.

Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow

If you only buy Mac shadows for their pigmented and unique colors, you are missing out on a whole new world! I used to think Mac and Nars (which are both great products, don't get me wrong!) were the only good eyeshadows on the market. I love bright and funky colors, both of which Nars and Mac offer. My collection of shadows used to consist of mostly those two brands until I discovered Inglot! Inglot offers AMAZINGLY pigmented eyeshadows in their Freedom System. The pans are square and almost twice the size of a Mac pan! Each pan is only $5, a real bargain considering how stunning the color pay off is! Inglot is extremely affordable, but be careful...building palettes can be addicting! :]
^As you can see above, the comparison in size to a Mac pan is much bigger.

Inglot Matte Gel Liners

One of my favorite discoveries in the cosmetic world! Inglot's gel liners are matte so they dry very quickly, in less than 60 seconds. When applying to your skin, you have to remember that fact because you need to work quickly. It is best applied with an angled brush, I use Mac's angled 266.

Favorite find of 2011

In June of '11 I attended IMATS here in Pasadena. For those who don't know, IMATS is the International Makeup Artist Trade Show. Throughout the year, amazing cosmetics vendors travel the world displaying their products as well as presenting key note speakers who give classes and demonstrations on products and makeup looks. For someone who loves makeup and has a passion for art, this is such a cool experience to have! While I was there, I discovered several new cosmetic brands that I have never used of even heard of. One of those companies was Inglot. I had heard of them but never had the pleasure of experimenting with any of their products. Inglot is a company that was created over 25 years ago by a man named Wojtek Inglot. Their products are AMAZING and I can never emphasize that enough! The color pay off is incredible! Everything is extremely rich and pigmented and you definitely get more bang for your buck here. They have this amazing system called the Freedom System where you pick a palette size (from 2-40!) and you create your own personalized color palette. You can do this with shadows, blush, powder, and lips! For me it was an instant addiction. The eyeshadow freedom colors are only $5 and about twice the size of a MAC pan. One of my favorite products they offer are their matte gel liners. They come in an array of colors and they really pop! For $12 you can own one of their 20 colors they offer. I personally have 6 of them! If you are looking for a great eyeliner to put on the water line, this is your best option! Because the gel is matte, it really sticks. I will post individual reviews on my favorite products!
